WILLIAM SHATNER has enjoyed a successful career spanning over seven decades. Most famous for this portrayal of Captain James T. Kirk in the Star Trek franchise, the star even got the opportunity to experience real-life space travel. However reaching that age of 90 was no easy feat, as Shatner was diagnosed with a terminal illness back in 2016.
